Abstract
A water-soluble acetate process was developed for ferroelectric PLZT materials. It can be readily adapted to the preparation of either bulk ceramic materials or thin films. Compositions throughout the PLZT system were prepared from water-soluble precursors consisting primarily of the acetates of the individual metal oxides. The properties of the thin films were evaluated and compared with those of the hot-pressed powders
