Abstract :
The author addresses the broadband services which NYNEX anticipates offering through its telephone companies. Also addressed are the uses to which NYNEX expects its customers to put these services. Finally, since it is recognized that universal availability of broadband will require network investment in the multibillion-dollar range, the author discusses services which will appear within the next few years and the path of evolution to a universal broadband capability
