Abstract
A small antenna for portable radios which has changeable short elements are presented. This antenna consists of two planar conductive boards which are placed in parallel at a spaced interval and short conductors. The feeding point is at one of the edges of the two conductive boards, and conductors positioned near the other edges. If the positions of the conductors which short the conductive boards are changed at will, it is possible to provide the more desirable condition responsive to the direction of the radio waves. The positions of the conductors are changed alternately by way of fundamental experiment. The antenna presented is applicable effectively to a pager receiver whose shape is a card.
