Abstract
A new iterative algorithm based on the measured equation of invariance (IA-MEI) is first proposed to evaluate the scattered field due to multiple cylinders of arbitrary cross-sections. The MEI coefficients of each cylinder can be stored and reused during each iteration. Thus more CPU time is saved by the algorithm. Numerical results for the scattering by multiple circular cylinders agree with the available exact solution, which verified the validity of this algorithm. Besides, the scattering results of some compound cylinders are also presented.
