Abstract :
An iterative method for the space-domain design of two-dimensional recursive digital filters is presented. The design method minimizes a weighted mean-square-error between the prototype impulse response and the impulse response of the designed filter. A slight modification to the procedure permits the design of filters with a separable denominator in the transfer function.
