Abstract :
A new concept to reduce main beam interference has been described that avoids the complexity of adaptive weighting circuitry and can be implemented with minimal expense. This concept assumes a system margin is available so that the antenna beam can be simply repositioned away from the interference. The benefits of this concept have been quantified and depend on the angular separation between the interference and desired signals. This technique complements other adaptive designs such as sidelobe cancellation.
