Abstract :
The design and fabrication of a Y-branch integrated dual wavelength laser diode is reported for optical generation of microwave carrier based on sideband injection locking. Microwave at a frequency over 40 GHz with high spectral purity has been generated by both external and self injection locking configurations. Frequency tuning range of GHz order is demonstrated.
