Abstract :
In this study, a knowledge-based image analysis is developed for optical microscopic image analysis of fos-stained nuclei in rat´s brain slices. It includes an automatic nucleus identification system that integrates a prior knowledge of experienced physiologist used in manual measurement. Three factors such as brightness, smoothness, and focusness are represented by logistic functions. The fuzzy analysis is then applied for nucleus identification. From the results, it is demonstrated that the proposed system is very useful in tissue image of rat´s brain.
