Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to develop the human interactive decomposition system and to detect firing rate of each MU during isometric contraction. The surface EMGs were measured from biceps brachii short head muscle during isometric contraction with the developed eight channels surface electrode array. The isometric torque increased from 0 to 30% of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC). The elbow joint angles were 60, 90 and 120 degree. An interactive decomposition program with graphical user interface (GUI) was developed. The measured EMGs were decomposed and their firing rates were calculated. It was shown that the estimated firing rate increased by increasing torque around elbow joint angle.
