Abstract :
We investigated a chain of charged particles coupled by a harmonic nearest neighbor interaction with a transversal degree of freedom in a two-dimensional asymmetric potential, based on the application of a crossed static and harmonic fields. We found we can control the velocity of the chain to an optimized value by adjusting the system parameters, such as coupling strength, the winding number, and so on. When adiabatically increasing the coupling strength, the existence of the resonance platform of 2ω indicates the resonance between the motion of the chain and the periodic force. The coverage parameter θ and winding number ω0y also play a key role in the control.
