Abstract :
In this communication we consider a modification of the M-bunched protocol proposed for an integrated services packet network (ISPN). The modification we propose explores more effectively the redundancy present in the M-1 repetitions of the retransmission. A performance analysis of the protocol is performed which shows significant improvements relative to the original specially in noisy channels. The performance study of the protocol is then extended to an ISPN scenario and the region by region connection is compared to the end to end
