Abstract
An adaptive self-tuning algorithm based on the multiple representation is proposed to overcome the problems encountered by the adaptive control systems when running on a wide range of process operations. In this algorithm, the control signal is combined from the multiple representation to give the system control signal. Also, the models are adapted to follow the process. This technique is available in two versions, the first depends on adapting the closest model to the process while the second depends on the farthest model. A simulation study is performed to show the potential of the proposed algorithm compared to some available techniques
