Abstract
This paper describes the input requirements and major attributes of the Network Engineering Design and Analysis Toolset (NEDAT). The NEDAT is an engineering oriented toolset that will produce valid and optimized, mobile ad hoc network designs based on input requirements and goals. The NEDAT prototype is currently at SRL 2/3 and is focused on capacity optimization for mobile ad hoc networks and has achieved excellent performance results for 30 nodes, 100 nodes, and 1000 nodes. During FY07, it is expected that the NEDAT achieve the SRL 4/5 level of maturity for both functional and performance goals.
