Abstract :
In this paper, the numerical simulation for a weakened Timoshenko beam under constant axial load is considered. We present a lineared three-level difference scheme on uniform meshes by the method of reduction of order for a Timoshenko beam. A numerical example is presented to verify the validity of the method.
