Abstract
A software infrastructure to facilitate the use of simulation in microelectronics research and education is described. The infrastructure, essentially an operating system for the WWW, accepts simulation tools as they are and makes them operable through standard WWW browsers. In this paper, the infrastructure is described along with its applications in research and education. In particular, we describe a newly-developed course on advanced CMOS device physics that makes extensive use of simulation
