Abstract
Mobile terminals are increasingly used as a part of our every day information access and management. While being mobile, the user´s network connectivity may be unavailable for various reasons. At the same time, sophisticated security infrastructures are developed to allow service composition across multiple administrative domains. In this paper we discuss how security mechanisms which require frequent client-server interaction can be adapted to mobile environments to enable operation at the time of disconnections. We illustrate applicability of the proposed solution by enabling an identity service for a commonly used mobile platform.
