Abstract :
The authors describe a consolidated information model for configuration management of the service database of network switching elements that include both conventional and ISDN (integrated services digital network) access environments. A set of managed object classes and associated attributes which embrace the requirements of both environments has been defined using object-oriented modeling techniques. Examples of using the open systems interconnection (OSI) tools in defining generic configuration management message structures are presented
