Abstract :
To investigate the relationship between the patterns of pulse wave and various cardiovascular diseases (CVD), one experimental pulse generator system has been designed and implemented. Main components of this system include a peristaltic pump, two EM valves, a pressure transducer, Agilent 34970A data acquisition system and fluid circuit. One control platform based on Lab VIEW and Matlab is built to connect all components together, and the signal acquisition, displaying and processing are realized. The feedback control of the pump and valves is also realized. Trail results show the integrated system works well and can generate simulated pulse. Future work will focus on the development of DSP control system and the study the pathology of CVD.
