Abstract :
Energy production development on Earth is restricted by a number of limitations. It has been shown previously-by different techniques that are represented in this report-that the limiting total power should not exceed 1011 kW, i.e. 0.1% of the total solar energy flux upon our plant. This power is required in order to prevent a global catastrophe for humanity by the middle of the next Century, since the world´s population will be equal to 1010 human beings, i.e. it will be necessary to have 10 kW of energy per person. One of the most reasonable and promising ways out of such a situation is the transfer of Earth´s main power production facilities and power consumers into outer space, research into which is currently underway
