Abstract :
With the data-rich environment and the advancement of information and communication technology, the origin of Hagerstrand´s time geography become inadequate on meeting the need of representing and analyzing characteristics of human activity nowadays. In this regard, this paper revisits the space time path and space-time constraints as two main parts of the theory from the current perspective and envisions how these two parts relevant in analyzing social networks by reviewing the recent work in this area. In conclusion, by extending the theory in these two parts, Hagerstrand´s time geography can not only fit well in human activity in physical space but also in the virtual space.
