Abstract :
This paper presents intra-cellular pH measurements, performed through absorbance technique. Calibration data on rat myoballs have been obtained with a specially designed micro-spectro- photometer. Dye-protein interactions have been investigated, and dye titration curves inside living cells are presented. Absolute cytoplasmic pH determination are shown to be possible with an accuracy of 0.02 pH unit.
