Abstract :
In this talk we will describe the main ideas of a state space theory and the associated realization problem for dynamical systems in which one does not need to distinguish a priori between inputs and outputs. This theory has been developed in [1] where a number of motivational examples have been given. Here we will consider mainly the linear time-invariant situation.
