Abstract :
In August of 2006, live flight tests were conducted by MIT Lincoln Laboratory and its partners to investigate several airborne initiatives. One of the tests involved measuring the performance of three different SOA-based systems delivering track data in an airborne network. The goal of the experiment was to test and measure the performance of the three different SOA-based mechanisms and also to look at the strengths and weaknesses of each implementation in the airborne network environment in order to provide a concrete basis for future best practices.
