Abstract :
The energy supply of nodes will be limited strictly in the wireless sensor networks. Considering the characteristic, a clustering routing protocol which is based on the node residual energy and load balance related to distance is proposed. The aim of the protocol is to balance the energy consumption of the entire network and to extend the life cycle of the WSN. The protocol is based on LEACH algorithm. Participate in threshold in order to choose the node which has higher energy and near the sink node as the cluster head. While set the distance threshold between the cluster head and cluster head so that the cluster head is balanced distribution. Then adapt cluster heads multi-hop mechanism. The simulation results show that the improved protocol can effectively prolong the network lifetime.
