Abstract :
This paper describes a new dyeing or printing process ID code system and a new code detection device, which are suitable for the process automation in small quantity production and many varieties of goods. Aluminum films are newly used as process codes because of their high sustenance against water, chemicals and dye, and also against mechanical deformation. The sheet of the code is attached on textiles and detected by proximity switches which sense the aluminum films electromagnetically. Detection tests were carried out using an actual dyeing process, and the rate of the correct detection was 100% except for a case when the textile is fluttered by the resonance at a proper running speed
