Abstract
Bolted timber connection is one of the main connections in glulam. Bolted timber connection performance, especially rotational stiffness, is very important in the whole structure. The rotational stiffness and bearing capacity of bolted timber connection is studied in this paper. Seven specimens were loaded to failure. Comparison on the flexural bearing capacity and rotational stiffness were developed. Then the failure mechanism of the bolted connections was discussed in detail. The influence of bolt number of single row, bolt diameter and plate thickness on rotational stiffness were introduced.
