Abstract :
A practical, undirected, incoherent IR communications system for indoor and outdoor use. The limitations encountered in both the indoor and outdoor environments are discussed and a link analysis comparison of the two cases is presented. A brief comparison of IR and RF is given listing the advantages and disadvantages of each. Finally, future trends in the area of wireless, undirected communications are proposed
