Abstract :
Many studies of two dimensional (2D) oxygen saturation distribution reconstruction have recently been conducted. However, these studies use powerful computers or large mainframes which are impractical for home health care systems. This paper proposes a 2D, portable, low-cost, real-time oxygen saturation distribution reconstruction system to detect breast cancer, making early detection possible. The system is implemented on FPGA with front-end sensors and display devices. The functionality of the system is verified using a phantom which presents breast tissue.
