Abstract
With the near-fault and far-fault pulse-like ground motions recorded by four stations, the seismic response of reinforced concrete long-span rigid frame bridges subjected to near-fault pulse-like ground motions under longitudinal and lateral excitation is studied. And the comparison is next conducted with response of bridge under the far-fault ground motions recorded in the same sites. The response features of concrete rigid frame bridge under two kinds of ground motions are analysed. The results show that the seismic response of near-fault pulse-like ground motions is more significant than of non-pulse-like ground motions in the same peak acceleration. And the advice is given on seismic design bridge in the near-fault area.
