Abstract :
Based on vorticity and stream function method, the flow characteristic around spur dike is analysed in condition of various length, width, discharge and space. It shows that the width and the discharge effect little on local velocity filed, the range of back water area expands with the length increasing, while the space between spur dikes keeps non-linear relationship with the length of circulating region and scour depth.
