Abstract
Through the analysis of seismic responses of large-span arch bridge, the influences of interaction between structure and soil on the seismic responses are studied. In the study, three models of the structure-soil interaction are used, including m-method, p-y curve method and modified p-y curve method considering detachment of structure and soil. The results show that the displacements calculated by the two methods with p-y curves are larger than that of m-method by 40 % to 60%, while the results of two p-y curve methods are close. So p-y curve method should be adopted in analysis of seismic responses of bridges when the interaction between structure and soil is considered.
