Abstract
This paper investigates a novel uninterruptible power supply (UPS) configuration that features low EMI and draws unity power factor without the addition of a preregulator. A 100 Hz pulsating bus is used in contrast to a smoothed DC bus. The compound converter structure exhibits high efficiency. A 3.3 kW single phase experimental converter is evaluated
