Abstract :
The authors report results of experiments with various insulation materials and both low and high induced anisotropy energy iron-base metallic glass ribbons. Co-wound insulation films as well as conformal insulations were investigated. Magnetic properties and voltage hold off strengths are reported. No insulation investigated was found to be perfect for pulse power applications, with uniformly good voltage hold off, low induced stresses, and high packing fraction
