Abstract :
Poly (sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) was grafted onto carbon black surface by ambient surface-initiated atom radical transfer polymerization. And the sensors of screen printed carbon electrode based on CB-g-PSS immobilized with glucose oxidase were completed. The effect of CB-g-PSS on the response of amperometric glucose oxidase electrode for glucose was examined. The experimental results indicate that the grafted carbon black nano-particles could be dispersed in water with good stability. The sensitivity of modified by CB-g-PSS is 2 times of no modified. Measurable linear range is 1.1 mmol/L~33.3 mmol/L. For sensors modified by CB-g-PSS, testing of different concentration glucose: RSD<7%, and stable. The experiments reveal that water-dispersible Carbon Black-enzyme electrode biosensor has potentialities for a successful application in the biosensor area.
