Abstract :
In this paper, the photonic band structure of a one dimensional photonic crystal based on graphene multilayer system (PC-GM) is investigated using the transfer matrix method. The PC-GM is periodically parallel stacks of alternating a multilayer graphene system with the dielectric stripes between them and a dielectric layer. Also, the effects of introducing a defect in the PC-GM is examined and demonstrated the degree of localization of the defect mode become greater with increasing the period number of the PC-GM. Furthermore, variation of the layers width can tune the defect mode.
