Abstract :
A novel algorithm for robust adaptive beamforming is presented in this paper due to the mismatch errors between the actual and presumed steering vectors. The basic idea of introduced algorithm is to use the orthogonal component of these errors to correct the presumed steering vectors. Two orthogonal subspaces are constructed and the mismatch errors are orthogonally decomposed, so the correcting process is transformed into an iterative quadratic convex optimization issue. The proposed algorithm does not assume that the mismatch error is norm or probability constrained, so it avoids the need to their values estimation and probability distribution modeling. Simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.
