Abstract
Acoustic pyrometry can be used to measure the temperature of hot gases in a variety of applications. Single path measurements are used in boiler and furnace applications to measure furnace exit gas temperature and numerous other selected regions of interest. Multiple acoustic transceivers may be applied to provide a base of path temperature data from which isothermal contours and other useful temperature distribution information can be generated and displayed for operations and control purposes. Numerical deconvolution methods are discussed that were developed specifically to handle multiple path acoustic pyrometry data. Specific applications and examples are presented
