Abstract

This paper presents the approach adopted for the implementation of a state of the art SCADA/DMS project of Empresa Electrica de Quito (EEQ) Ecuador. EEQ is responsible for the sub-transmission and distribution of electrical energy in the city of Quito, with almost 2.400.000 habitants. This paper presents information regarding the equipments, protocols, functionality and the integration of all the EEQpsilas automation substations to be installed as part of this comprehensive project.
