  • Abstract
    In this paper, an automatic bone age assessment method is proposed, with emphasis on automatic skeleton template matching in a hand-wrist radiographic image. The assessment method integrates template matching with edge detection. A hierarchical method based on PSO and an edge set model are proposed and used in it. Experimental results show that correctness and efficiency of bone maturation assessment is improved.
