  • Abstract
Electricity is a product which, in common with any other product, has parameters of cost and quality. Poor power quality raises the cost of use of electricity and gives rise to incompatibility between customers. This paper outlines the technical quality issues associated with the production and use of electricity in Africa from the basis of knowledge and experience gained in South Africa
