Abstract
Electronic engineering distance education may be viewed as an important part of the solution to the educational crisis worldwide, and especially in South Africa. This paper extends the work done at the University of Pretoria and discusses the progress already made in this regard. A proposed network hierarchy which may be employed to generalise these methods, to enable more people to be reached through it, is also described
