Abstract :
This paper is aimed to achieve the efficient operation of a twelve-pulses static synchronous compensator (StatCom) controlled by a DSP. The controller includes a novel phase-locked-loop (PLL), pulse generator modules for firing angle control of the voltage source converter (VSC), along with the appropriated circuitry for charging the DC capacitor. The StatCompsilas output signal processing for controlling the reactive power exchange is also included in the blocks to be implemented on the DSP. Results exhibit the appropriateness of the proposition.
