Abstract :
Based on Landsat-TM images, the flood disaster area was identified by Spectrum-photometric Method during Pakistan 2010 extra-large floods in this paper. According to the different period´s images of pre-disaster and in-disaster, the flood bodies´ range was extracted. On this basis, the disaster loss assessment including disastrous area, affected population, disastrous area of farmland (land use information), was made in the most affected provinces-Sind and Punjab. It provided an effective method for disaster assessment and decision-support on fighting floods and providing disaster relief.
