Abstract :
System Engineering at Sizewell B was developed to give a flexible approach to maintenance. It is based on ideas from the USA and has taken the world´s best practices in the nuclear industry into account and adapted them to the British way of working. It has been established that the System Engineer needs many differing skills so it was decided at an early stage to analyse their training needs. The analysis was based on the International Atomic Energy Authority recommendations. From this came the Knowledge, Skills and Attitude document. This document states all the information that the System Engineers need to know
