Abstract :
Optical properties of ZnO nanoparticles on p-type Si and Al2O3 substrates by utilizing a spin-coating method were investigated. While the PL spectra of ZnO nanoparticles on p-type Si substrates shows only strong exciton related to near band emission peak without a green-emission peak, those of ZnO nanoparticle on Al2O3 substrate shows broad green-emission spectra by defect. These results can help to improve understanding of the optical properties of ZnO nanoparticles grown on p-type Si and Al2O3 substrates.
