Abstract :
Two Y-cut Ti:LiNbO3 waveguides, having a polar dielectric tensor configuration, are experimentally investigated for different azimuth angles. The obtained experimental results confirm the reliability of a powerful computer code developed by us which permits the modal behaviour calculation of general multilayered waveguides, having arbitrary optical and geometrical parameters for polar, longitudinal and equatorial dielectric tensor configurations
