An approach for solving the discrete alternatives multicriteria problem

A method for solving the discrete alternative multicriteria problem extending the results of Korhonen, Wallenius, and Zionts is outlined. It uses pairwise comparisons of alternatives, and generates dominance cones which are used to eliminate alternatives. A special approach is used to accelerate the identification of the optimal solution. A potential application is discussed.
