After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

A fast fingerprint identification pre-processing algorithm is proposed in this paper, it solves difficult to ensuring speediness and accuracy with adopting fingerprint identification in customary fingerprint identification system. This algorithm has the fine enhancement effect to the polluted fingerprint images, and can not only enhance the ridges and valleys of a fingerprint image, but also mark up the valid and invalid fingerprint ranges, so it has faster speed and higher accuracy in fingerprint identification.
