Abstract :
An analysis of the performance of low-rate orthogonal convolutional codes (LROCC) is presented in multiple-access systems operating under Rayleigh fading and AWGN. These results are used to obtain the performance of a noncoherent orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) design employing LROCC coding in a Rayleigh fading environment with interference from “other-user” noise and AWGN. Considerable improvement in the spectrum efficiency of this new implementation over coherent DS-CDMA is found
