Title :
L∞-optimal sensitivity vs. stability margin
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The L∞ optimization problem is critically evaluated in terms of its ability to address the "real issues" in robust multivariable feedback control system design. It is concluded that the L∞ norm formulation of robustness issues is too crude. Some refinements of the theory are suggested and several key research issues are identified.
